Taking Charge

A new English language and literacy program is being piloted at Taking Charge!  Participants of this program are also supported by the employment and counseling services traditionally offered at Taking Charge!

This program is specifically designed to support immigrant women who have lived for many years in Canada, have low levels of language and literacy, and are in transition or pursuing employment or further training.

All must first go to WELARC (Winnipeg English Language Assessment and Referral Centre). After a Canadian Language Benchmark Assessment, they can be referred to Taking Charge! if they meet the criteria.
